How to Choose the Right Niche for Your VA or Freelance Business
If you’re just starting out as a freelancer or virtual assistant, it can feel a bit like standing at a buffet with too many choices. Do you focus on social media management, offer to update website, or try your hand at email marketing? The truth is, you don’t need to have it all worked out right away, but finding your niche will make your life (and marketing) a whole lot easier. Dispatches From Crete
Life in a Cretan village: the people, the food, and the seasons.
About
I’ve always wanted to travel and live abroad.
After university, where I studied modern languages, I moved into administrative and secretarial work. Gradually, those roles evolved and I started picking up more technical work, learning new systems, building websites, editing videos, and taking on social media and blog writing.
Eventually, that grew into my own business, working online and now based on the island of Crete in Greece.
On the way, I’ve learned a lot about how to find and work with clients, how to stay disciplined when you’re working for yourself, and how to keep building new skills.
This site brings together some of that experience. It’s here for anyone thinking about working remotely, or already doing it, and trying to make it work in a way that feels sustainable.
There are also a few glimpses of life here on the incredible island of Crete, because that’s part of the story too.
